We’re thrilled to share this Washington Post piece that features Culmore Clinic and one of our indispensable volunteer interpreters, Noelle Nguyen. The article, by Ellen McCarthy, which will be featured on the cover of this weekend’s Style section, tells the story of Noelle’s immigration from Vietnam to her eventual settling in our community where she gives back through Culmore Clinic and her church, our founding partner St. Anthony of Padua.

The story of Noelle is certainly unique, but for our predominantly volunteer run non-profit, the themes are universal. Noelle is one of over 50 volunteers who dedicate their time to help Culmore Clinic provide affordable, quality, and compassionate healthcare to uninsured adults in our community. Like Noelle, our volunteers live full lives outside our clinic doors, and bring that fullness, talent and love to our patients and our team every week. We are humbled to be a part of Noelle’s story and the story of all of those who we serve and who serve us.
