Marymount University Nursing Students Give Culmore Clinic Their Best Shot!

Culmore Clinic has had a long, wonderful association with Marymount University. Before the pandemic, senior nursing students rotated onsite, learning from and supporting our experienced nurses in many ways, including flu clinics. During the pandemic, they were our flu clinic, working outside with Mormon missionary volunteer interpreters. The students came to us under the supervision of impressive nursing faculty, committed to forming professionals of purpose and service.

With a largely (COVID) vaccinated public, Culmore Clinic continues its march toward returning to pre-pandemic activities, like our vaccine clinics with Safe Haven, which offers a grab-and-go lunch every Thursday to anyone who needs a good meal and some fellowship. Once again, Marymount Students led the way. Here they are pictured with their professor Christine Amorosi, APRN, NP. First under instruction, then on their own providing flu vaccine to Safe Haven guests. Thank you, Marymount students! We know the future will be bright with nurses like you!

Safe Haven is a program of First Christian Church, which generously hosts Culmore Clinic as well. We are delighted to return to this annual project with them! Information here.
