Celebrating the Service of Eliana and Pedro Turina
This month, we celebrate and honor the extraordinary contributions of Eliana and Pedro Turina, who are retiring from volunteer service after many years of faithful dedication to our Culmore Clinic community.
Pedro has been a compassionate and steady presence for more than a decade as a patient navigator, guiding countless individuals through the processs of registering to be a patient. His ability to listen deeply, explain clearly, and reassure patients has made an immeasurable difference in welcoming and earning trust.
Alongside him, Eliana has given her time and talents as an interpreter and patient navigator, bridging language barriers with grace and empathy. Her gift for communication has not only ensured accurate care but has also helped patients feel truly understood and respected.
Clinic volunteers, staff and friends joined together for a farewell reception. Many shared stories of how how the Turina's mentor new volunteers and how they have embodied the very heart of our mission—offering dignity, hope, and support to neighbors who might otherwise go without care. Their teamwork as a couple has been an inspiration, and their legacy will continue to ripple through the lives of the patients and families they have touched.
As Eliana and Pedro step into this new chapter of life, we extend our deepest gratitude and warmest wishes. Their years of volunteer service leave an enduring mark on our clinic family, and they will always be part of our story.
